Knee Replacement (Partial) - Mary

Mary, partial knee replacement at BMI Fawkham Manor Hospital
Consultant: Mr Farid Moftah, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon

The pain in Mary’s right knee was so intense she found it difficult to walk and stand, and if she managed to sit down, it was incredibly hard to get back up again.

Unable to sleep through the night as she couldn’t get her knee comfortable, Mary decided to have the partial knee replacement procedure she needed at the same hospital, and with the same Consultant who had previously performed a total knee replacement on her husband; Mr Farid Moftah, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, at BMI Fawkham Manor Hospital.

Mary was in hospital for only four days, and after three months felt confident that she had made a full recovery that she began to paly badminton again, an activity she had found too painful to play properly before the operation.
