A health assessment, also known as a health check, is a thorough check-up of your overall health. Health checks are performed by specialists to help you gain a better understanding of your physical and mental wellbeing.

Health checks often focus on preventative health. They are performed to detect problems in their early stages, as well as risk factors for certain conditions that might run in your family. Health checks can also detect more advanced health problems that haven't yet been discovered, helping you get diagnosed and find the right treatment fast.

We offer four levels of health assessment at Circle Health Group. The Select Assessment is a great middle ground for people who want a thorough health check but don't have any pressing concerns. This page will tell you everything that's included in the Select Health Assessment and also gives information on our other three types of health check, to help you make an informed choice of which is right for you. However, if you would rather talk it through with our advisors, just give us a call.

Our Select Health Assessment starts from £454.00*

The cost of health checks will vary depending on where you have the assessment, which specialists you see and which diagnostics are included. For example, you might want to pay extra to have certain checks that are more relevant to your age or your sex.

We will confirm the cost with you ahead of time so that you know exactly what you'll be paying for before the assessment.

If your employer is part of our HealthFirst employee wellbeing scheme, your health assessment may be covered by this plan. Some private health insurance plans will also cover health checks, but it's best to speak directly to your provider.

*The health assessment is booked and paid for as package should any tests not be completed due to reasons such as equipment failure, partial refunds will not be given instead we can offer it an alternative location.

People choose to have health checks for all sorts of reasons.

Some people see an annual check as a sort of body MOT, which can identify problems early on and stop them getting worse. Others are experiencing symptoms and want the peace of mind that comes with a full-body checkup.

Another common reason that people book health assessments is that they have had health problems in the past, or perhaps they have a family history of health problems, and they want to keep an eye on things.

Health assessments can help you to spot the early signs of conditions including Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, as well as indicating if you are at a higher than usual risk of various conditions.

Once our team has analysed your results, we'll be able to give you tailored advice to help you address and manage any issues highlighted, as well as offering tips on how to stay as healthy as possible in the future. This advice is included in the cost.

Our Select Health Assessment is designed to assess your general health while focusing on areas of particular concern to your sex.

The consultation will be tailored to your health concerns on the day. We will focus on male- or female-specific issues, such as identifying early signs of breast or cervical cancers in women and testicular or prostate cancers in men.

You will spend up to 30 minutes with a doctor. Following your health assessment, you will then receive a personalised medical report and lifestyle recommendations.
