Paediatrics is the branch of medicine that deals with infants, children and adolescents.  Some hospitals offer a variety of paediatric services across several specialties.

Your child’s health

We understand that your child’s welfare is your highest concern.

At BMI Healthcare, we have specialist paediatricians who can help you with all aspects of your child’s health, development or wellbeing.

Our services include general paediatric services and treatment for:

  • Allergies, asthma and eczema
  • Behavioural problems, such as Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
  • Gastroesphageal reflux
  • Neurodevelopment
  • Respiratory disorders

Many of our hospitals can also conduct common surgical procedures including:

  • Adenoids and grommets
  • Circumsion
  • Ear correction
  • Hernia repair

Because paediatrics is such a wide term – covering the care of children up to 18 years of age – our services are broad and can range from a single consultation to a hospital stay.

What happens if your child goes into hospital?

Being in hospital can be daunting for anyone, but children can find it particularly frightening. Having a child in hospital can be equally difficult to deal with if you are the parent.

At BMI Healthcare, we try to ease the anxiety for both you and your child – our aim is to keep your child’s stay in hospital as short as possible.
