Paediatric oncology (cancer care)

What is paediatric oncology?

Paediatric oncology is the study of cancer in children. Paediatric oncologists will diagnose and treat malignancy in infants, children and young adults up to the age of 18.

Paying for the treatment

The cost of paediatric oncology treatment is covered by most medical insurance policies, but please check with your insurer first. If you are paying for your own treatment the cost will be explained and confirmed in writing when you book.

Ask the hospital for a quote beforehand, and ensure that this includes all associated costs.
