Mr Basavaiah Natesh

I am an consultant Ear Nose Throat (ENT), Head and Neck Surgeon and Airway surgeon at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust since 2017. I completed ENT and Head Neck Surgery training in India and had further training in ENT surgery at South East of England hospitals. I gained a wide experience in all aspects of general adult and paediatric ear, nose, throat disorders including ear & hearing, nose & sinus problem and voice and swallowing.

I had further training in advanced Head and Neck cancer surgery at Cambridge Addenbrookes Hospitals and also completed one year internationally recognised Fellowship in Advanced Head & Neck cancer surgery at Guys and St Thomas Hospitals NHS Trust, London before taking Consultant job at UHCW. I have special interest in minimally invasive thyroid, parathyroid and salivary gland surgeries and has experience of performing over 100 surgeries each year. I have established Upper Airway disorder Multi Disciplinary service at UHCW and manage patients who presents with difficulty breathing due to airway pathologies.

I am actively involved in research activities in Head & Neck Surgery and sleep apnoea management and presented my work in various National and International meetings. My research work is published in number of high impact factor journals.

I am an invited faculty in various national and international meetings, Head and Neck surgical training courses and accredited trainer for training ENT/Head & Neck surgery trainees in West Midland training programme.

Clinical Interests

I have special interest in management of Head and Neck pathologies including thyroid and parathyroid disease. I am part of Airway multidisciplinary team at UHCW and has interest in management of tracheal stenosis.
