I went through the Southeast Thames Training program for Ophthalmology and did a Fellowship in Oculoplastics. I have a broad-based Ophthalmology training and have been a Consultant Ophthalmologist since 2008.

I hold a full-time NHS Consultant Ophthalmology post at East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust. I have been College Tutor with responsibility for the organisation of training doctors on the Specialist Training program for Ophthalmology and frequently participate in the National Recruitment program for Ophthalmology.

In addition to General Ophthalmology, I deal with and perform a variety of surgical procedures including:

• Phacoemulsification cataract surgery
• Yag laser posterior capsulotomy
• Oculoplastics surgery including:
• Lid cysts (chalazion)
• Lid malposition (entropion, ectropion, ptosis)
• Blepharoplasty
• Periocular neoplasia
• Watering eye symptoms and surgical treatment
