He undertook an extra year long fellowship in complex and revision lower limb arthroplasty and computer navigation in Plymouth and was awarded my certificate of completion of specialist training in 2008.
Mr James Press worked for a further year as a consultant in Plymouth and moved to Ayrshire in April 2009 to take up his substantive post as Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon at Ayr Hospital. Ayr Hospital remains his NHS base but he also has practicing privileges at two private hospitals - BMI Carrick Glen Hospital in Ayr and BMI Ross Hall Hospital in Glasgow.
