Personal Profile

Dr Moji Balogun is a Consultant Radiologist specialising in Gynaecological Imaging, working out of The Priory Hospital. She qualified in Nigeria in 1989 and after house jobs and national service; she relocated to the UK in 1993. She obtained the MRCP in 1995 and commenced Radiology training in Leeds in 1995, completing specialist training in 2001in Birmingham. Dr Balogun was appointed as Consultant at the Birmingham Women’s Hospital in 2001 as the Gynaecology Cancer Imaging Lead for the Cancer Centre.

Dr Moji Balogun is the Gynaecology imaging adviser to the Royal College of Radiologist, and is the Gynae imaging module lead for the West Midlands radiology training scheme. She was also the clinical radiology tutor at Birmingham Women’s Hospital for 8 years and is currently lead for the Gynae question panel for the FRCR part 2 exam.

Dr Balogun was a board member of the British Society of Urogenital Radiologists: editorial board of Clinical radiology – The RCR journal. She acts as a reviewer for peer-reviewed journals such as British Journal of Radiology (BJR) and the European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Reproductive Biology (EJOGRB). She has published papers in numerous peer-reviewed journals, book chapters, and lecture nationally and internationally on Gynae Imaging.
