Mr Yasin qualified from Cardiff University in 2002 with Honours as well as numerous prizes including the university prize for Anatomy. He completed his surgical training in the North West and is on the General Medical Council’s specialist register. His advanced spinal training was in Manchester as well as an international fellowship in complex spines at Brisbane, Australia.
He has further developed his knowledge with experience visiting other spine centres in Australia as well as the USA and Europe including Philadelphia, Bordeaux and Berlin. Mr Yasin has a keen interest in research and has won several prizes, including the Mallimson North West Research Prize. He has also worked in collaboration with several universities including Linkoping University (Sweden) and Salford University, where he is also an honorary lecturer.
He is also a member of the Scoliosis Research Society and is on their worldwide spine specialist register. He is currently a substantive consultant at Salford Royal, which is the major trauma centre as well as the main complex spine tertiary referral centre taking all complex spine referrals for the North West of England. Salford Royal is one of the largest complex spine centres in the world and Mr Yasin brings this expertise to his patients at BMI.
His mantra of Balance~Function~Form is central to the care he provides to his patients. Outside of work, he is enjoys swimming, cycling and running. He is active with community work and lives with his wife.
