Dr Singh is practicing Paediatrics for the last 37 years. His current NHS post is as at University Hospital of North Midlands, Stoke-on-Trent as a Consultant Paediatrician and lead clinician with special interest in Paediatric Neurology, Epilepsy and Neuro-disability since March 2001. He was honorary Consultant Paediatrician in Paediatric Neurology at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital from 2002 to 2018.
Dr Singh has vast experience in treating children and young people with Neurological disorders, Epilepsy, Headaches, Movement disorders, Tics and Tourette syndrome, Neuro-genetic conditions and Neuro-disabilities.
Dr Singh is a national and international tutor on Paediatric Epilepsy Training (PET) run by British Paediatric Neurology Association. He was part of a professional group to set up a very successful one-day national training course on Childhood Headaches (CHaT1) for Consultant Paediatricians and other doctors. He regularly organises CHaT1 courses as course director and teaches on them as well.
Dr Singh worked as a Paediatrician in India for 14 years in teaching hospitals and tertiary centres. He was a Reader (Associate Professor) in Paediatrics in University of Delhi. Five postgraduate (MD students) completed their thesis under his supervision. He published several articles in medical journals and contributed chapters in book. He was also on the editorial board of official journal of Indian Academy of Paediatrics.
Dr Singh is continuing his interest in medical education, research, teaching and practicing Evidence Based Medicine. His personal interests are in music and religion. He is very popular with his patients, parents and colleagues.
