Dr Richard Watkin

Dr Richard Watkin is a graduate of the University of Birmingham and completed his training in cardiology in the the West Midlands. He is skilled in all aspects of coronary intervention having worked in several high volume centres.

He has broad experience in all aspects of general adult cardiology and holds national accreditation in echocardiography (heart ultrasound scanning). He was awarded an MD in 2004 for his research into infective endocarditis.

He has published widely on this subject and is a national expert in infective endocarditis treatment and prevention.
