Miss Muzafar is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester. She has undertaken advanced training in Urogynaecology and Vaginal surgery and has a weekly Urogynaecology clinic at Winchester. She leads and runs the perineal clinic at both the Royal Hampshire County Hospital and Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital. In these clinics, she manages patients with bowel dysfunction, bladder dysfunction, utero-vaginal prolapse, third and fourth degree tears, and sexual dysfunction after childbirth. She also offers endo-anal USS facilities in this clinic.
She offers surgery for prolapse, female incontinence, menorrhagia, superficial dyspareunia secondary to childbirth trauma, and lichen sclerosis. She has full accreditation for gynaecological ultrasound scanning.
She has a keen interest in research and audit. Her research and audit work has been presented and published both nationally and internationally. She has completed her postgraduate training in Wessex deanery and MSc in Quality and Safety in healthcare at Imperial college London.
On a personal note, Miss Muzaffar is married to a Consultant Psychiatrist and has a daughter called Sakina. She is fluent in English, Urdu, Hindi, Kashmiri and Punjabi.
