Mr N Selva Theivacumar qualified from the University of Colombo (Sri Lanka) 1999, after which he pursued postgraduate surgical training in England undertaking a research degree on ‘minimally invasive varicose veins treatment’ and completing a MD degree at the University of Leeds. Mr Theivacumar carried out his higher surgical training in Leeds (Yorkshire) and in London.

His post fellowship training on vascular and endovascular surgery was in Melbourne, Australia. Mr Theivacumar has a special interest in the treatment of varicose veins having pioneered research in the field of ‘Assessment and endovenous thermal ablation of venous reflux’. Mr Theivacumar is pioneering in the minimally invasive treatments for venous diseases and varicose veins. He treats the following clinical issues:
