Lisa Schmitz

I qualified with a physiotherapy degree in South Africa in 1997 and spent 2 years doing locum work within the NHS in England. I then started working in private practice and have been based at the Saxon Clinic since 2000. I completed a Masters degree in Sports and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham in 2003 and have developed extensive manual handling skills including specific headache techniques, golf injuries, shoulder injuries and acupuncture.
I have subsequently specialised in Women's Health physiotherapy and, combining these skills alongside my manual therapy skills I specialise in incontinence or prolapse issues, post-operative and particularly pelvic girdle pain. I continue to treat a mixture of musculo-skeletal conditions and women's health conditions and continually take opportunities to build on my professional development so that I can ensure the best outcomes for the conditions I treat.
