At Goring Hall Hospital, we have a private GP Service that’s available to patients based in Worthing, Pulborough, Horsham, West Sussex and beyond.

Our private GP will be a highly qualified general practitioner who will get to know you well, because you will have the time to talk through all your needs and concerns in detail each time you see them.
We understand that at times it can be difficult to see your GP outside surgery hours, or that occasionally you may need more time to discuss your concerns.

Our private GP, aims to provide you with exceptional and convenient ways to look after your health. We can provide services if you are finding it difficult to see your regular GP, require more time to discuss your health concerns, or you would just like a second opinion.

We provide this service from our fully equipped hospital with fast access to diagnostics; this includes x-rays and scans, blood tests and immediate referral to consultants and specialists at our hospital if required.
 

There are many reasons you may need to see a private GP. You can expect an in-depth consultation with our friendly GP. Our private GP at Goring Hall Hospital provides the help you need and here are some of the common reasons for seeing a private GP.

Appointments are £195 for a standard 30-minute initial consultation. The cost also covers one remote follow-up consultation of up to 15 minutes.

Payment for GP appointments is required before the consultation with the GP.

Although your medical insurance may cover private GP appointments, you must initially pay for your appointment and then seek reimbursement from your insurance provider. It is essential to verify the reimbursement process directly with your insurer.

Our GP may recommend that you have additional tests or investigations, please remember that these will be charged in addition to the fees above. Here are a few examples of the wide range of tests that are available, and an approximate price:

Fast access to diagnostic tests
You will have access to a range of diagnostic tests, with results typically returned within 48 hours. The range of tests available include blood tests, X-rays, CT, and MRI scans.

A second opinion
If you are living with a health problem or have symptoms you are unsure about, it can be reassuring to get a second opinion. Our private GPs are highly experienced in general medicine and have the time (as well as access to hospital facilities) to make a thorough diagnosis.

Immediate referrals
Your private GP will be able to refer you to a course of treatment as soon as possible. This can be crucial when serious conditions are found.

Am I covered by my private medical insurance?

What happens if I need to be referred to a consultant or I require further tests?
Should you need to be referred to a consultant or for any diagnostic investigation such as blood tests or x-rays, there is no obligation to use Goring Hall Hospital services. You have the choice to proceed with your care under your NHS GP and we can forward a letter onto them with our recommendations of referral to a consultant or for diagnostic tests. 

If you would like to continue your care with Goring Hall Hospital we have most diagnostic facilities on site and in most cases investigations can be carried out on the day or within a week. Results are normally available within a week. On average you are able to see a consultant within a few days of your appointment.
