We are excited to announce the arrival of our new mobile CT Scanning unit. Patients from Huddersfield and Surrounding West Yorkshire can now benefit from a faster diagnosis with private appointments available within 7 days and reports ready after 48 hours.
What is a CT Scan?
At its core, CT scanning utilizes X-rays to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body. Unlike traditional X-ray imaging, which produces flat, two-dimensional images, CT scanning generates a series of thin, horizontal "slices" or tomographic images that provide a three-dimensional view of internal structures.
The CT scanning process begins with the patient lying on a motorized table that slides into the center of the CT scanner—a large, doughnut-shaped machine. As the table moves through the scanner, X-ray beams rotate around the body, emitting radiation in multiple directions.
