The King’s Oak hospital offers outpatient care and day case surgery for children and young people.

Our paediatric nursing team supports our consultants to provide care for 3 to 18-year-olds needing routine outpatient treatments and day case surgery.

A registered children’s nurse is involved in the planning and delivery of care for your child and are supported by a friendly and caring team.

Parents and children are also invited to visit the hospital in advance to familiarise themselves with the surroundings and help their child settle in the unfamiliar environment. We have a dedicated paediatric unit – the Acorn Ward - where we ensure the children can feel as comfortable as possible.
