Stimulus control is a strategy of self-modification with a goal of reducing the volume of food consumed.
The abiliti system supports this reduction by enhancing the sense of fullness that a patient feels when they eat or drink. When the system detects an eating or drinking event, it delivers a series of low-energy electrical impulses to the stomach to create a feeling of fullness, thereby encouraging reduced food intake.
