Personal Profile
Mr Damian Clark is a knee and trauma surgeon based in Bath, who treats patients suffering from knee pain. His work includes kneecap stabilisation surgery and knee ligament reconstructions; but he also performs arthroscopy, partial knee replacements, osteotomies, and trauma surgery. Mr Clark believes that surgery isn’t always the solution, so ensures his discusses in detail all available options with his patients.
Mr Clark studied medicine at King's College London and undertake training at the University of Calgary, the University of Swansea and the University of Bristol. Much of Mr Clark’s experience has been gained from fellowships in Australia, Canada, India and the UK. He’s worked with medical teams caring for several professional sports teams around the world, including work with Australian rugby players and Canadian footballers.
He was awarded Fellowship of both the Royal College of Surgeons and of the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in 2013, and has received two fellowship prizes for his Canadian fellowship.
Mr Clark and our team of highly qualified professionals work with the Mako® robotic-arm. This is specifically designed technology developed for complex hip and knee replacement surgeries. The technology comprises a navigation system combined with a robotic arm. This form of surgery allots for more accurate results, less trauma to the bone and tissue, which lends to better surgical results, less pain and a faster post-operative recovery.
