Mr John Hollingdale has for over the past 20 years developed an interest in arthroplasty of the hip and knee joints including revision of both of these joints.
In the early 1990’s he developed the impaction allografting technique described by Ling and Gie for his revision hip cases. he has modified this technique for use in revision knee arthroplasty. His series of such cases have been presented on several occasions to international meetings. The remainder of his work involves knee arthroscopy and ligament reconstruction. His past involvement with several professional soccer teams and a top rugby club put this aspect of his expertise to good use.
Since 2004 he has been actively involved in the development and promotion of minimal invasive techniques in total knee replacement in the United Kingdom. he has taught on many cadaver courses in Europe in order to teach this technique.
He has spoken as a faculty member in many meetings in Europe about this technique.
