Personal Profile

I am a plastic surgeon with a special interest in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery.  I have recently been appointed to a consultant NHS post at City Hospital, having previously been a consultant in Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.  I provide a full reconstructive service following mastectomy or wide local excision as well as performing breast augmentations, mastopexy (uplift) and breast reductions.  I am also interested in treatment of benign and malignant skin lesions and body contouring surgery such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, brachioplasty (arm lift) and thigh lift for patients following weight loss or pregnancy.

I qualified in medicine from Guy’s Hospital in London in 1994 with a BSc in Pharmacology.  I also have an MSc in Surgical Sciences from UCL.  I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1998 and passed the intercollegiate specialty examination in Plastic Surgery, FRCS(Plast.) in 2005.  I have completed a cosmetic fellowship in the North West and I have undertaken specialist fellowships in plastic surgery in the field of cancer reconstruction at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London and in Wellington, New Zealand.
