I graduated in Medicine from Queens University, Belfast. My cardiothoracic training included rotations at the Royal Victoria Hospital (Belfast), Derriford Hospital (Plymouth), Bristol Royal Infirmary and Papworth Hospital (Cambridge).
I was a Research Fellow at Barts and The London NHS Trust and awarded an MD at Queen Marys, University of London. I was a National Cardiothoracic Trainee in the Northwest of England including rotations in Wythenshawe Hospital, Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital and Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
I completed the Advanced Cardiothoracic Fellowship Programme at Duke University Hospital, NC, USA.
Since returning to the UK I have been a Consultant Cardiac and Transplant Surgeon at Wythenshawe Hospital, MFT.
I have an interest in training and am the Trust Specialty Training Lead in Cardiac Surgery at Wythenshawe Hospital.
