Dr Jackson specialises in Sports Medicine in BMI hospitals in Bath, Swindon and Oxford. Dr Jackson has 20 years experience of treating patients from a wide variety of sports from both professional and amateur backgrounds. The principles used to treat elite competitive athletes can be employed to allow the enthusiastic amateur to return to their chosen sport or exercise as soon as possible.
Along with being the Editorial Board Member of the Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, Dr Jackson is also the Examiner and appraiser in Sports Medicine FSEM and External examiner MSc Sports Medicine. Dr Jackson is a member of the British Association of Sport & Exercise Medicine and is the founder member of the RSM Sports Medicine Section. He is currently the Lead Sports Physician English Institute of Sport (South West) at the University of Bath and the GB Olympic Modern Pentathlon Team Doctor.
His sports medicine also extends to national sporting and Olympic teams, including GB Davis CupTeam, GB Olympic Modern Pentathlon Team, England Cricket Team and England A Rugby Team. He is also an expert external advisor to the International Bobsleigh & Bobskelton (FIBT) Medical Committee.
