Dr Vinay Ketkar has worked at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust since 2004 and has a clinic and injection/ procedure list at the hospital every week. He also works in the Functional Restoration Program for Chronic Pain His main interest is in the non -surgical treatment of back pain and spinal problems including coccyx pain and sacro-iliac joint dysfunction. He also has extensive experience of treating other musculoskeletal and sports injuries using a variety of techniques including injections and prolotherapy.
Dr Ketkar trained at the University of Birmingham in the West Midlands. He has worked at Birmingham University, East Lancashire Hospitals and for the Armed Forces at the RRU RAF Cosford.
Dr Ketkar worked at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham and Blackberry Clinic Milton Keynes. He is the Chief Medical Officer for Warwickshire County Cricket Club and an Acedemy Doctor for Birmingham City Football Club.
He is a tutor on the Spinal module of the UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire) MSC in Musculoskeletal medicine course and was previously a tutor and module lead for the B.I.M.M. (British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine) course and examiner for the DMSMED examination in London.
