What is the criteria I have to meet for a Health Loan?

What is the age range for taking a loan out?

You will need to be aged between 18-75(when the agreement ends) to apply for a loan with Chrysalis Finance.

How much can I borrow?

We provide loans from £350 to £50,000, your chosen BMI hospital will confirm the cost of your treatment or procedure.

How long can I take the loan over?

BMI offer loan terms of 12 months to 60 months. Once you apply for a loan, the relevant terms applicable to your chosen hospital will be made available for you to consider.

What will the loan APR be?

Once you apply for a loan, the relevant options applicable to your chosen BMI hospital will be made available for you to consider.

Do I need to have a good, clean credit history?

This will certainly make it easier for you to get a Chrysalis loan. All loans are subject to status and Terms and Conditions, if you have concerns over your credit history we would suggest you contact a credit reference agency for more information.

Do I have to be a UK resident to apply for a loan?

To be eligible to apply for a loan, you will need to have been a permanent UK resident for at least the last 3 years.

Do I need to be a homeowner?

It is not necessary for you to be a homeowner to apply for a Health Loan.

Can I take a loan out if I’m self-employed?

Yes you can, you would need to be have been trading a minimum of one full tax year.

What surgeries are not covered financially through Chrysalis Finance?

The following: silicone face injections, polyacrylamide gel injections, synthetic permanent dermal fillers, laser treatments in relation to hair growth, brazilian butt lifts (BBL), IVF Treatment, oncology treatment, genital modification including labiaplasty and collagen or hyaluronic acid.

What information do I need to provide when applying for finance?

When submitting an application for finance you will need to provide your EMPI Number, full name, date of birth, 3 years address history, 3 years employment history, income/expenditure details and bank account information.

Have you had a consultation?

Before applying you will need to have chosen the hospital that will complete your procedure and have had a consultation with them to ensure you are making an informed decision and understand the true cost of your procedure.

How long does the process take?

With online applications we aim to provide you with a decision instantly.

Why are some of the fields on the application screen highlighted in red?

This highlights mandatory fields which you must complete before moving onto the next question on the application. The system will highlight in green when completed correctly.

I have made a mistake on my application, what do I do now?

If incorrect details have been provided on your application, please contact our application department on 03330 058 501 and they will be able to assist. This may result in a new application being submitted.

What happens when I am approved?

Do you pay me or the hospital?

We will not pay you directly. Chrysalis Finance lender will pay your chosen BMI hospital directly.

Procedure date:

We will need to know the date that your procedure is due to take place, as this will be an indicator for when the funds will be released to your chosen BMI hospital.

What does echo signing mean?

This is an online process which enables the documents to be signed electronically.

When do we take the first payment?

We will always give you a minimum of 30 days’ written notice of your first payment by sending you an Advance Notice of Set Up of a Direct Debit Instruction which sets out the payment amounts and the collections dates.

Can I change my payment date?

The lender will endeavour to amend the repayment date to more suitable date for you. You can call them directly 0333 240 8317.

What if I need to cancel?

All applications have a 14 day cancellation period from date activation. If you wish to cancel and are within the 14 days please contact us or e-mail us on [email protected].

What happens if I am declined?

How do I know if I have been unsuccessful?

Like many responsible lenders, we take into consideration your personal circumstances, previous account conduct and credit history. If your application has been unsuccessful we will be unable to provide the finance on this occasion.
