Adam Hoad-Reddick is a specialist hip and knee surgeon. His full time practice is based at BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, Cheshire.

Training and Appointment

Mr Adam Hoad-Reddick qualified from the University of Manchester in 1994. He underwent his basic medical training in the Manchester area and subsequently undertook his specialist training in orthopaedic surgery at the Merseyside Specialist Training Rotation.

He later completed sub-specialist training at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston and at the Wrightington Hospital. He was also appointed as the Cavendish Hip Fellow and Clinical Lecturer in Orthopaedics at Sheffield University and the Northern General Hospital. Adam was appointed as a Consultant at Wrightington Hospital in 2004, subspecialising in hip and knee surgery. 

Current Practice

He is particularly interested in complex primary revision and arthroscopic surgery of the hip and knee and currently works exclusively at BMI The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle. He carries out a wide range of specialist procedures, including knee arthroscopy, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement, knee revision surgery, ACL reconstruction, hip surgery including hip replacement, hip joint injection, hip arthroscopy, stem cell therapy, hip revision surgery, and labral reconstruction. He is involved in teaching including hip arthroscopy training for consultants and registrars nationally. Additionally, his clinical data is submitted to the national audit program.


Adam Hoad-Reddicks primary medical qualification is an MB ChB (1994) from the University of Manchester. His specialist surgical qualifications include FRCS (London) 1998 and FRCS (Trauma & Orthopaedics) 2003.
