Our cancer care unit houses Sheffield Oncology, a dedicated team of experienced consultant oncologists who provide expert care for all types of cancer. We pride ourselves on providing a holistic and compassionate cancer care service and have been a provider of private cancer care for over two decades.

Our consultant oncologists work closely with our dedicated nursing team led by Maria Mignanelli Parkin, specialist oncology nurse.

Our dedicated phone line is open Monday to Thursday, 9am to 5pm.
Our cancer care service is located on the top floor of the hospital, on a dedicated and comfortable ward. The unit can be easily accessed via the lift from the physiotherapy entrance on floor -2.
Each patient has access to their own room with en-suite facilities and a television to provide privacy and comfort.
Family or friends are welcome to accompany you during your time in the cancer care unit as we understand the support and benefits this can provide.
The unit is staffed by our cancer care nursing team Monday to Thursday, and your specialist consultant can be contacted for advice outside of normal office hours. Sheffield Oncology provides patients with 24-hour consultant cover.
We know how upsetting a cancer diagnosis can be, and our aim is to support you and your family throughout this time. Our aim is to reduce as much of the stress and anxiety as possible so that you can focus on your recovery.
We are proud to say that we have been recognised by Macmillan Cancer Support for our high standards of patient care and have held the Macmillan Quality Environment Mark (MQEM) since 2016.
The MQEM is awarded to cancer care environments that:
- are welcoming and accessible to all
- are respectful of people's privacy and dignity
- are supportive of the users' comfort and wellbeing
- give choice and control to people using the service
- listen to the voice of the user
The accreditation is awarded for three years, and we are pleased to share that our MQEM was renewed in 2019 and 2022.
